Description
This PhotoFrame preset is called Taped to Metal. I happened to like the color of this metal background and how it complemented the color in the photo. Again, in this PhotoFrame 4 preset, I’ve combined several components including a popular Polaroid SX70 film stock along with a metal textured background (and yes tape) to get this effect along with a couple of different scroll adornments from V Gallery.
Note: Preset fixed on 11/20/2008 to address an output issue.

For whatever reason, my image is not showing through the polaroid frame. It’s there when I turn the background off. the other presets here are working fine. Wassup?
@Richard Bublitz: Are you accessing the preset from within PhotoFrame or from the onOne menu in Photoshop? For clarification sake, when I say “from the onOne menu” I’m referring to accessing a preset without actually going into PhotoFrame and seeing the PhotoFrame user interface. Thanks for the comment. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can – I’m in NY for the PhotoPlus show (one more day) and then I travel all day on Sunday.
Best,
Mike
I tried it both ways i.e., accessing the preset w/o going into PhotoFrame and also accessing it from within PhotoFrame. In both cases, the image does not show through the frame.
However, when I load the preset w/in PhotoFrame, it looks fine in the preview but when I click Apply – image doesn’t show through frame. In Photoshop layers palette, the Rectangle layer generated by PhotoFrame is blank and I believe that should be the mask layer for the image.
@J Meredith: I think I need to update a setting in the preset. I’ll post it again shortly. Thanks for catching this.
@J Meredith: Preset is now fixed. Thanks for the note and sorry for the inconvenience. You’ll need to download the new one at the bottom of the post and install it again.
No worries
Thanks for fixing things.
I seem to be having problems with not having a user folder in my library? I have tried deactivating and reinstalling. However I have same problem. One thing I noticed although, was that my presets I saved were still loading up after I deactivated and uninstalled ? My guess is that I didnt uninstall properly ? I followed instructions to uninstall from help files. I have tried and tried to get tech support but It takes for ever and I seem to be repeating my self in emails without getting feed back that can progress me to some solution?..Help anyone?
@fusedpro@tpg.com.au: Hi there. Sorry you’ve been having these troubles. Hopefully I can help here. Your presets basically live in a file (an XML file if I’m not mistaken) in your Application Support directory. Uninstalling the software doesn’t remove those presets or other preferences so when you reinstall, they will still be there.
For the User folder in your PhotoFrame 4 library, if you have PhotoFrame 4 Professional Edition, the User folder will automatically be there the first time you install. If you have PhotoFrame 4 Standard Edition, you need to add a frame (maybe download the Tree Bark texture for example) first using the File > Import Frame menu and then close PhotoFrame and then relaunch PhotoFrame. That will force the User folder to be created and show up.
I hope that helps and again, I apologize for TS not getting back to you sooner.
Best,
Mike
