How do I install this preset?
Description
A great layout option for PhotoFrame, this frame gives you an antique photograph edge. Download the zip file, uncompress it and then choose File > Import from within PhotoFrame.Download the zip file, uncompress it and then choose File > Import from within PhotoFrame.

not sure how to instal these presets with the fro and fri extensions. I have photoframe 4.5 and follow the steps but doesnt seem to work. All the other presets are pto?
am I doing something wrong
Tom – after downloading the zip file, uncompress it. Launch PhotoFrame from within Photoshop and then choose File > Import and navigate to the uncompressed folder. Select the contents of the folder and the frames will get imported.
You can then search on the term, Photographic Antique in this case to find the frame.
Best,
Mike
ps – the PTO file extension is for PhotoTools.
Mike, thanks, I did that and do have them afterall. In fact, I already did because I imported them correctly before sending my original message. Guess I didnt think I would have to do a search to find them and that they would show up in a category. Didnt they use to show up in the “Exchange” category – an easier place for all your downloads.
Mike,
I am also having issues. After importing, the dialog box shows that there should be a user file, which I do remember it appearing in the previous versions but not in version 4.5. I can find the files when searching, but when I go to the actual file in the library, “background>wood” for example, the new files do not show up.
I have tried to add them to the actual file separately and they still don’t show up after restarting PhotoFrame 4.5. By the way, I was importing various background like the “Fathers Day Bits”.
Regards,
Mike
hi ! can you explain me how i can instal the frame in the program , i’m from venezuela… thanks !
Hello Leandro,
You can find install instructions at http://www.ononeexchange.com/installing-presets/
@Mike – try doing a search for the frame or preset name.
@Tom – I think they only show up under the Exchange category if we shipped them with the installer and put them in that way. Right now, you’ll still have to search. Not the ideal solution, I know. We’re working on a better solution.
I am using PhotoFrame 4.5. I have tried both ways you mentioned: 1) import from within PhotoFrame; 2) paste the files into Preset. The import seemed to work when importing–I could see the files being transfered. However, I cannot find the files no matter how I searched, including the title: Photographic_antique. They simply did not show up.
Can’t you just work out a better way, and make sure it works?
I am unable to find the exchange frames after importing them. I have followed the directions, but they don’t show up anywhere, even when I search for them. I have no trouble importing the presets for PhotoTools, but cannot seem to get the frames in PhotoFrame Professional. Thank you for any help.
I´am undergoing all the problems whitch the other guys are complaining about.
You are working on a better solution? i´m bound to wait for it.
Mike, my frames after importing from the file menu cannot be found even when I search. I did find them in the program data/onone/photoframe4.5/ frames/ user file. In the program itself under the library I have no user category. I search I get only the frames that came with 4.5. sx-70 5×5 but no SX-70-02 or backgroundg paper 11-38 or any of the other ones. I have some frames that I loaded when I had 4.0. There in the presets folder. All the presets that I loaded in 4.0 are there in 4.5. Since 4.5, can’t seem to open or find or search for the frames for the library. Help me bro, help me
Dennis
Looks like this a frame, not a preset. Download and uncompress it. Inside a folder called photographic_antique_16 should be three files with the same name but three different extensions (frr, fri, fro). These files together equal one frame.
Inside of PhotoFrame, go the file menu and select import frame. On a Mac be sure to select all three files, on Windows just select the .frr file. It will then add them to your PhotoFrame library. You will find them in the Photographic > Antique category. You may need to relaunch PhotoFrame if you don’t see it there. Or you can just type antique into the search field. If you don’t find it, it probably didn’t import correctly, so try again and follow the steps above. For some users you may need to check the permissions on your PhotoFrame database on the off chance that they where changed somehow. Here is KB article on how to check:

Thank you Dan! That did it!
