Hollywood Contrast

Here’s a new preset for you that combines two effects from Kevin Kubota with two effects from Jack Davis. I call it the Hollywood Contrast - I’m going to file this one under both Portrait and Landscape though it’s not really one or the other but I suppose you could try it out for yourself and make adjustments as needed.

I applied this set of effects to a photo I took of my daughter earlier this year in Hawaii. It starts out with a Contrast adjustment effect by Jack and then layers on the Kubota Mid Puller and the Kubota Hollywood Intensity effect adjusted to taste. It finishes off with a Jack Davis edge vignette.

Jack Davis - Aged Photo

In the spirit of the recentĀ  Senior Superstar preset, this Aged Photo preset uses only effects that were written for PhotoTools by Jack Davis. My goal here was to create an aged photo look and to achieve that, we needed to get some overlays and some noise in there. That helps give it some age, but we needed to add, or reduce, the color so to do that I added the Davis-Antique Color followed by the Davis-Edge Vignette Dark. I think the end result is effective.

Here’s the stack…
